SC Forestry Foundation
The Foundation, established in 1980, serves as the education, conservation, and research arm of the SC Forestry Association. The two entities share a common governing board.
Donations
Donations may be made to the SC Forestry Foundation as a remembrance of someone special to you. You may send a contribution to the Foundation in their honor or memory at: SC Forestry Foundation, P O Box 21303, Columbia, SC, 29221. Letters will be sent to notify relatives of your remembrance.

Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance and financial need. To qualify, candidates must be a native of South Carolina and maintain a 3.0 GPA or better. > 2012 Scholarship Recipients
SC Project Learning Tree
In 1988 the Foundation became a sponsor of PLT, an environmental education program for K-12.
SC Wood Magic Forest Fair
SCFA helped establish the Fair in 1999 and is a co-sponsor through the Foundation. The Fair educates fourth graders about the sustainable management of forest resources and the role of forests and forest products in our daily lives.
SC Teachers' Tour
The outdoor environmental course provides participants with an unbiased look at the impact forests have on our state's environment, economy, and quality of life. Key topics include forest management; emphasizing sustainable forestry, ecosystem management and bio-diversity; wildlife conservation, including endangered species protection, forest product production, including harvesting and processing into products, and contributions of forest industry to South Carolina's economy.
Teaching KATE Program
KATE provides elementary and middle school students a comprehensive course on the environment. In 1993, the Foundation became a co-sponsor for the Teaching KATE (Kids About The Environment) program developed by the Coalition for Natural Resource Education.
