8:00 AM Arrive and Park in the Capitol Center Garage, 1201 Main Street
(Bldg. borders Gervais, Main, Lady and Assembly Streets). Enter the garage from Lady or Assembly Streets. Public parking is available on the 4th level and higher. To exit the building on foot, go to the Mezzanine Level and walk across Gervais Street to the State House Grounds. Walk around the State House to the Solomon Blatt Building which is located on south side of the State House Grounds bordering South Main, Pendleton and Assembly Streets.
9:00 AM Discuss Legislative and Budget Priorities in 108 Solomon Blatt Building
Explanations of the legislative and budget priorities will be provided as well as an opportunity to discuss these priorities. Once you enter the Blatt Building, you’ll have to go through security. Walk past the elevators and turn left. Room 108 is the last room on the left.
9:45 AM Depart from the Blatt Building and head to the 1st Floor of the State House
10:00 AM Press Conference on 1st Floor Lobby of the State House
10:30 AM House of Representatives Introduction and Lobbying Activities
All attendees should head up to the Balcony of the House of Representatives, 3rd Floor of the State House. Representative David Hiott, Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, will recognize the SC Tree Farmers. After being introduced go downstairs to the 2nd Floor Lobby to speak with your Representative.
11:45 AM Leave the State House Lobby and walk across Gervais Street to the Capital City Club
12:00 PM Lunch at the Capital City Club, located on the 25th floor of the Capitol Center
Dress requirement by the Capital City Club is smart casual – dress shirt and pants (no jeans ).
1:30 PM Return to the State House and head up to the 3rd Floor
All attendees should head up to the Balcony of the Senate, 3rd Floor of the State House. The doors to the Senate Balcony will open at 2:00 p.m. when the Senate goes into session.
2:00 PM Senate Introduction and Lobbying Activities
Senator Chip Campsen, Chairman of the Senate Fish, Game, and Forestry Committee, will recognize the SC Tree Farmers. After being introduced, go downstairs to the 2nd Floor Lobby to speak with your Senator.
