Scholarships

The South Carolina Forestry Foundation’s Board of Trustees annually awards scholarships to recognize and encourage forestry students with high academic achievement and leadership potential. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance and financial need to students from Clemson University and Horry-Georgetown Technical College. To qualify, candidates must be a native of South Carolina and maintain a 3.0 GPA or better.

CONGRATULATIONS! 2019 FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED.

The SC Forestry Foundation’s Board of Trustees has awarded scholarships to recognize and encourage forestry students with high academic achievements and leadership potential. The recipients:

  • Samuel T. Ferguson, IV, York, SC, scholarship of $4,000 at Clemson University
  • Nathen Hilley, Leesville, SC, scholarship of $4,000 at Clemson University
  • Myles E. Hutton, Easley, SC, scholarship of $2,000 at Horry-Georgetown Technical College
  • Jill Marie Robinson, Lexington, SC, received the $4,000 Mary-Julia C. Royall Scholarship at Clemson University.

The Mary-Julia C. Royall Scholarship was established in 2017 by Royall of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She was 1982 SC Tree Farmer of the Year and a long time member of the Forestry Association of South Carolina.

2019 Scholarship Winners

The SC Forestry Foundation, established in 1980, serves as the education, conservation, and research arm of the SC Forestry Association. The Foundation began awarding scholarships in 1987.
